Why learning a second language is important? Because through languages we can connect with other people and make sense of our experiences. The communication skills that students may learn at school, will be the foundation for their communication abilities for the future. Languages also help them to learn about other cultures and customs.
Spanish is usually considered the world's second most spoken native language, after Chinese. If students are able to learn it, they will have a jump start in understanding other Latin based languages like French or Italian.

Spanish covers different contents: vocabulary, grammar, communication and culture. The textbook offers contextualized texts in everyday situations for speakers between 11 and 16 years old. It also offers cultural activities from Spain and Latin America so pupils can be involved in the Hispanic culture. It also includes one evaluation form at the end of each unit where students can evaluate their knowledge and see their improvements. There are different kind of activities to work with the different skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
